Author's Bio
Travis D. Ramsey may not have entered the Navy with a novel in hand, but across 26 years of global service as a Chief Warrant Officer, he carried a deep-rooted passion for storytelling that refused to be left behind. Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Travis journeyed across five continents, navigating missions, leadership challenges, and the raw grit of military life—all of which now fuel the emotional depth in his writing.
Now retired from the Navy and living in San Diego, Travis has traded mission briefs for manuscripts. His debut novel, What Was Meant to Fall, emerged from the quiet moments between duty and sunset walks along the Sicilian coast during his final tour, blending suspense, romance, and the unbreakable human spirit. It marks the beginning of a new mission: to write stories that connect, heal, and endure.
Travis shares life’s journey with his wife, Chrissy, whose strength, compassion, and unwavering support mirror the heart found in his stories. Married since 2022 and inseparable since 2018, they’re an unshakeable team—whether exploring the world or chasing down their Australian Labradoodle, Cooper.
Together, they live with purpose, laughter, and the kind of love that makes room for shared dreams, spontaneous detours, and the quiet magic of everyday moments. Their partnership is rooted in deep respect and steady devotion—celebrating both life’s big milestones and its gentle rhythms.
Their family legacy continues through Travis’s son, Gage, who proudly serves in the U.S. Army with unwavering dedication and honor. Travis takes immense pride in seeing the next generation step forward with courage and conviction, carrying the torch of integrity he spent a lifetime upholding.
As Travis builds a new legacy through storytelling, he’s not just writing the chapters that matter most—he’s living them, surrounded by the love and strength of a family that embodies every theme his stories aim to tell.
